The only thing not dog-bites-man obvious about this is that it’s a subsidiary arm of the liberal Pew think tank admitting it:

The right-of-center sector of the blogosphere has for months maintained that the mainstream media are “in the tank” for Obama. The observant bloggers were right.

“Coverage of McCain has been heavily unfavorable — and has become more so over time,” says a Pew Research Center Project for Excellence in Journalism study that looked at newspapers and cable news shows from the end of the conventions to the last presidential debate. Coverage of Obama, naturally, was much more positive than negative or neutral. His ratio of favorable stories to overall stories was more than 2 1/2 times as large as McCain’s.

Such bias against Republicans is institutional. The Media Research Center found that between the end of the primaries and Tuesday, network news broadcast 84 stories criticizing McCain ads while only 32 had a negative tone toward Obama ads. And the Center for Media and Public Affairs notes that the GOP ticket is the butt of late-night comic jokes seven times as often as the Democratic pair.

Despite the one-sided coverage in favor of their party, some Democrats won’t be happy until they have shut down any opposition and shredded the First Amendment.

Nope, they sure won’t; like all tyrants, freedom of speech is anathema to them, because they can’t stand even the most cursory scrutiny. They’re right, they’re smarter than you, they’re better than you, and you pipsqueak pee-ons who pay the bills for their profligate stupidity have no business whatever questioning your rulers’ plans or motives — according to them. What more would you expect from a pack of shitweasels so keenly aware of the feeble paucity of their tired ideas and groupthink they go apoplectic with rage whenever anyone dares suggest they might be — gasp! — liberals?

Update! “But worst of all, for the last couple weeks, I’ve begun — for the first time in my adult life — to be embarrassed to admit what I do for a living. A few days ago, when asked by a new acquaintance what I did for a living, I replied that I was “a writer”, because I couldn’t bring myself to admit to a stranger that I’m a journalist.” And rightly so. Crack whores have higher standards and more personal integrity as a class than present-day “journalists” do.

It's disgusting when even these leftist illuminati are admitting the intensely extreme bias, yet don't offer a single condolence or any hint that anything will change. It's not a secret, it's own of the most widely knwon facts in the media industry, yet no one even thinks about having some integrity and doing anything about it.
