Boiling it down

October 13th, 2008

Bill cuts it down to the, uhh, quick:

The Democrat policy can defined in a few simple sentences, and it never changes:

  1. Tax more.
  2. Spend more.
  3. Increase the size of government.
  4. Increase the power of government.
  5. Blame the Republicans when the first four inevitably lead to disaster.

Everything else is just trivial embellishments of these main themes.

Yup. A few of which corollaries are:

  1. Do everything possible to ensure that the only cuts made to the federal budget come from defense and national security, which they do not give a tinker’s dam about. Hey, all the world loves us when Democrats are in power, so we wouldn’t have any enemies to worry about anyway, right? And if you don’t believe that, just ask the liberal media. They’ll set your racist, xenophobic, warmongering ass straight tout de suite.
  2. The word of the UN is inviolable, sacred law. For us, and nobody else. Likewise the Geneva Conventions.
  3. We’ll deal with what vanishingly few enemies we do have by the following process: negotiate with them without preconditions; declare the US at fault for whatever grievance, delusion, depravity, or violent revenge fantasy they may harbor; offer them more money to stop attacking us. They are all, after all, reasonable people exactly like us, with the same general beliefs, aspirations, and dreams for their children. They can be bought off.
  4. Israel must be punished. Harshly, the filthy Jew bastards.
  5. Capitalists too, the filthy rich bastards.
  6. Any remaining Republicans openly flaunting their party affiliation will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Which, we’ll be making some new ones for that purpose.
  7. Judicial appointees will be required to fully understand their duty to interpret the law and/or legislate from the bench according to the principles outlined in the supreme law of the land. Which will henceforth be the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I’m sure you folks can come up with a few of your own, but that oughta be enough to start.

Update! To swipe a good Eddie Izzard line:

8. No smoking, no drinking, and pretty soon — no talking.

I gotta say, that "get in their face" line is becoming as worn out as 2004's line from the Diebold President: "We will deliver this election to you."

Look, I can't be a liberal because I have way too many functioning brain cells and don't think that hemp is the cure all the world's ills, man...But that line is not the be-all and end-all of Democrat perfidity.

Furthermore, I have my doubts about Obama's socialist ties. I think he is more of an opportunist than an ideologue. He has no principles other than what will get him elected. He just is a natural at pulling that schtick off, like Bill Clinton.
