Busted

September 25th, 2008

Told you the dirty Democrat bastards would try something underhanded:

We’ve just been alerted that despite House Democrats relenting on extending bans on offshore drilling and oil shale in the continuing resolution (CR) appropriations bill, Democrat Senate Leader Harry Reid has decided to sneak an extension of the oil shale ban through as Congress fights over the financial bailout. Oil shale in America’s West is estimated to hold between 800 billion and 2 trillion barrels of oil — that is more than three times the proven oil reserves in Saudi Arabia alone.

They’ll never, ever give up, and they simply don’t care what damage they do to ordinary Americans and our economy in the process. Red State says get on the phone now and let the anti-energy curs know their skullduggery won’t fly.

Harry R. and his equally liberal friends are totally committed to the destruction of the United States. Some time in the future will students read about the second American Civil War. E-bygod-nough Harry it's time for you and your's to be run out of town permanently.

I didn't waste my carbon on Reid. I wasted it on my own fools, politely telling my Rhino, Arlen Sphincter and his Comucrat fellow Casey to ask Scarry Harry to remove the offending article. I certainly hope some news agency gives this some play. But they are sooooo in the tank for the communist party, I see little chance of that happening either.

Folks, energy is the strangle cord that the left (both sides of the aisle) that can be (relatively) easily manipulated to achieve the social engineering they want. So long as those aspects of energy that the USA can put into play to move us towards true energy independence can be throttled, the left can manipulate us. If there is ever a time when elected officials actually care about the true energy independence, we'll be able to shake free of any international restraints on American power. A lot of foreign policy is shaped around energy supplies. Take it out of the mix, where is the real restraint that can be applied to us? Why else are we even interested in the ME? The topography? Interesting fauna?
Any mention of the vaunted ' world opinion' causes me to spew drinks across my keyboard. We don't give a rat's ass about world opinion. It's convenient cover for political objectives and our own self interest. Dipshits like Harry Reid don't even have a clear idea where all this is heading. He's living in the moment, trying to salvage each partisan skirmish. It's not about policy, it's always about power; obtain it, maintain it, and finally wield it. Benefit yourself and gorge at the public trough. That's the real game. Anything else is polite fiction.
