Obamatons support thuggish cop’s abuse of power, children

Beldar on Tasergate:

(I won’t call it “Troopergate.” For one thing, that’s confusing, because there have been previous controversies called that, including one involving disgraced N.Y. ex-governor Eliot Spitzer. “Tasergate,” however, properly reminds everyone that those who support the trooper in question, Mike Wooten, are necessarily lining up in favor of child abuse, commission of crimes with deadly weapons, cops drinking in their patrol cars, and cops making death threats. “Taser-Moose-Beer-Death-Threat-gate” would be better still, but it’s just too long.)

Sounds good to me. I’m in, buddy; Tasergate it is from here on out, should there ever be much reason to bother mentioning this pitiful, forlorn attempt to nullify Palin’s appeal at all.

Update! While we’re waiting for the Last True Conservative — whose gay gossip site, as Ace has it, has now devolved into full-time, blubbering, “terrified” (his own word) hysteria — and his fellow tank-dwellers to decry the torture of a 10 year old boy by their latest hero-of-convenience as firmly as they have the tactics used on exactly three (3) terrorist killers not long after 9/11, thereby rendering the US a “terrorist nation” and Bush a “war criminal,” Patterico notes the proferred explanation:

The trooper admits tasering his 10-year-old stepson — good thing, since he was already found to have done it — but says he only did it a little bit.

Great! Probably we can rest assured that he would only beat defenseless suspects a little bit, too.

And you can be sure that that’ll be enough for Barrack’s Flock, who have heretofore been quick to decry police brutality and abuse of authority, even in cases where it isn’t established or even remotely apparent; who can be relied upon to call for sympathy and support for cop-killers like Mumia Abu Jamal and others; and whose “principles” are all too obviously conditional, and based exclusively on political expedience.
