So y’all can expect to see some Intrepid Reporting hereabouts, as his readers will be forced to endure the occasional splattering of Cold Furiosity over there.
I couldn’t really say how much of this crossover-blogging might be expected from either of us, though. I can barely scrounge time and energy to post here, let alone DP, Porretto’s, or BCE’s dens of iniquity. And Big Country seems to be pretty busy of late his own self, what with this, that, and the other blasted thing. We’ll just have to wait and see about that, I reckon. Whichever way things shake out, I’m damn pleased and proud to offer him a most hearty welcome aboard over here, and I’m sure you folks feel the same way about it.

What’s up with BCE and the nazi, SS, swatstika fetish? I know he hates Jews but those master race pcs’s killed lots of other innocents, lesbians for example. They also killed my Dad’s best friend at Anzio. And funny thing identifying the last assholes our military beat.

The real shame is no one appears to get this… y’all take first impressions and run with it. Go back a few and read some old shit, and read it for accuracy and figure it out… I call out shady shit, no matter race creed or color. Problem is that it’s badthink and ‘anti-semitism’ to call out a group of religionists who seem to have cornered the market on shady. Answer me that and then you –might- start to understand.
One reason for not bothering to look below the surface is, there’s usually nothing there.
Another, bigger, reason is that the “below the surface” is a lie: someone says something stupid, offensive, or criminal and gets called on it and then claims “I was being ironic” or “It was a layered joke and you didn’t get it”. They’re lying, but they’re scrambling for that plausible deniability. I’m not saying you do that — I’ve probably followed a few links to your site but don’t read it regularly, so I have no basis for an opinion* — but it happens often enough that any claim that there’s a deeper layer should be taken with a grain of salt.
* Though I suppose I could do the usual thing and have an opinion anyway.
