Fleeing the nest they fouled

Instead of moving down here without invitation or encouragement and ruining our homes for us the exact same way you did your own, consider giving NOT VOTING FOR ANY MORE SOCIALISTS a try, maybe.

More than 300,000 New Yorkers have bailed from the Big Apple in the last eight months, new stats show.

City residents filed 295,103 change of address requests from March 1 through Oct. 31, according to data The Post obtained from the US Postal Service under a Freedom of Information Act request.

Since the data details only when 11 or more forwarding requests were made to a particular county outside NYC, the number of moves is actually higher. And a single address change could represent an entire household, which means far more than 300,000 New Yorkers fled the five boroughs.

Whatever the exact number, the exodus — which began when COVID-19 hit the city in early spring — is much greater than in prior years. From just March through July, there were 244,895 change of address requests to destinations outside of the city, more than double the 101,342 during the same period in 2019.

The escape from New York is fueled not only by coronavirus concerns, but economic worries, school chaos and rising crime, experts say.

Michael Hendrix, director of state and local policy at the Manhattan Institute, which has commissioned surveys about the state of the city, was not surprised by the data.

“I think people are afraid,” Hendrix said. “They’re afraid of catching a deadly virus and they’re afraid of crime and other quality of life concerns. One thing we also hear is about trash and cleanliness of the city.”

Since I’ve expressed my thoughts on this ongoing saga several times already and no longer really give much of a damn about it, I wouldn’t have bothered posting on this particular installment unless it had some aspect I found odd or amusing. I’m pretty sure y’all caught what that aspect might have been, right?

  1. A relative of a friend is bolting New Jersey for a Red State.  Someone from New York bought his house.  It’s all hopscotch.

Can they change?  I don’t think so.

  2. Your advice has at least two problems, Mike.

    – It is founded on the concept of collective guilt.

    – It assumes honest elections.

In theory I, as one of the people that Andrew “Fuckface” Cuomo said has no place in New York, have no moral problem with cutting the throats of a million libtards in order to shift the state’s politics. There are a few practical difficulties, though.

Looking at less infeasible solutions, I’ve helped political candidates. I’ve handed out fully informed juror leaflets. I’ve steered people away from libtard ideas and worldview by word and by example. What more do you want me to do? And now you say I’m not welcome to leave NYS to get away from the brainwashed, mewling mob?

Tell you what. You want to set immigration policies so that states, or the residents of the states, can keep out people who don’t fit their ideals. That’s fair enough but we need to make it retroactive. You take back all of the blacks who moved north to get away from the problems in the South over the past couple centuries and all of their descendants. Take back all of the hispanics who came into the US and all of their descendants. Take back all of the liberals who left the South to get away from the conservative, religious values they didn’t like, plus their descendants.

Then we can talk about letting you keep out Northerner who want to leave the hellholes much of the North has become.

But I’ll bet that you won’t see a lot of Northerners needing to leave by that point.

    1. “But I’ll bet that you won’t see a lot of Northerners needing to leave by that point.”

While you are more than welcome down South, the problems in the cities in the north/south/east/west will not leave with any group of undesirables unless you plan to send the elected assholes this way as well.

But I get your point. With some exceptions. Who brought those people in? They take ownership as well. And you know who they are.

OTOH, all those people would be perfectly fine as soon as you stop handing out free shit. Work or starve. Behave or die. Simple concept that has a proven result.

      1. You know which States have some of the highest votes for a Dem for President usually?
        Either Texas or Florida.
For Crooked Clintoon they were her 3rd and 4th Highest.

In 1988 TX was 3rd and FL 8th. For BJ it was 4th and 8th.

There was, and is still a Yuge Dem demo down in the South.

BTW, where did GOP get most votes in 2016: CA third and NY 6th.

More NYers voted for Trump in 2016 than in NC.

It’s silly to pigeonhole people coming from anywhere into “liberal” and “conservative” on that basis alone.

Who is most likely to flee NY? SteveF and I or Leftists who depend upon welfare for their living?

What was, and is, fouling ALL of our nests is immigration from countries with no basis in Liberty at all and are really just economic refugees. From Mexico to Somalia and the rest of the Third World.

We’d be lucky if our major immigration came from Eastern Europe or Hong Kong from people fleeing what they know is Commie Evil.

          1. I’d wholesale swap groups for groups from Hong Kong.

If you managed to increase China’s diversity by swapping a million inner-city vibrants with a million Hong Kongers, the PRC would throw a nuclear fit.

            1. Unfortunately with 1.4 Billion people the 8 Million or so in Hong Kong are essentially a drop in the bucket there.

Which was the whole problem all along. They had one chance and that was the mainland heading more towards actual democracy. That’s all the British could do. That didn’t happen and basically that is because from HW Bush to BJ Clinton to W to 0 the Flim Flam Man we coddled and aided the Chinese with Our Money and they never had the Crisis the USSR suffered.

Trump is forcing that Crisis and we need four more years to finish the ChiComs off.

Which is why the ChiComs and the Dems worked together on the Scamdemic and Lockdowns for the Steal.

It’s the obvious answer for “Cui Bono? For whose benefit?
The ChiComs and Dems are the Big Winners if they steal it from Trump. The RINO’s are Little Winners, but they don’t mind being little dicks as long as they get to snarf the leavings at the trough.

                1. Yeah, according to Stephen Green and Ed Driscoll at PJM we “won” by keeping the Senate.

                  Cucks to the Max.

                    1. The idiots ran two Republicans against One Dem in GA, guaranteeing a Runoff Race which we could lose when one good candidate would have won 60%.

                      Idiots.

My guess is Green is a party insider Cuck in Colorado and Driscoll is just a rich spoiled brat and the son of some rich people from New York City. He lived in urban coastal CA and now Austin.

So, nary a Red area in his life.

                    2. Here is what Stephen Green just posted at Insty:
MARK PENN: America’s Shockingly Moderate Electorate. “Polls predicted a landslide, but the result was close and split because voters reject radical changes.”

You can’t make this shit up, folks. It’s beyond Cucking.
He went back home, brought along his wife, his daughters, his Mom, some Aunts and a cousin for them to bed on that one.

                    3. Yes Trump won in a landslide.

All the toerh races tells us that.

Who picks up seats in the House when the incumbent President loses?

Who loses as an Incumbent with 52% Approval Rating right before the Election?

He won 19 of 20 bellwether counties.

He upped his vote tally from four years ago by 10 Million votes!

All these facts plus so many more make it a statistical impossibility that Biden got 77 Million Votes and won.

Last Election had 129 Million votes cast. We’re supposed to believe that 151 Million were cast four years later? 22 Million more?

I don’t think anyone cheated for Trump so it has to be that they cheated for Biden.

Oh btw a simple search cannot tell me how many registered voters there are in the US. Hmmmmm

                    4. 5,000,000 + votes for biden were Trump votes switched by the crooked machines. That would be a 10 million vote swing…

                    5. That’s why I said, the mail-in was supposed to keep it close and be undetectable, then the “Flip”, also undetectable, would take them over the top in a dozen States.

Trump won by so much they had to go back to their usual BS vote fraud, which is easily detected, to try to finish the job.

On one level I am glad to see America still has enough people to vote sanely to make the Margin of Fraud 15+ Million votes.

    2. Heck, Stevie, I’d gladly come up and help ya move myself. We need all like you we can get, wherever you might happen to wind up.

        1. Ouch. OTOH, it sure does suck that a person feels they have to move from where they have always lived in order to be free, when they live in the USA.

  3. Not so much afraid of the Virus but afraid of their “Leaders” forcing the Virus upon them and then screwing with their healthcare treatment, which in NYC is pretty much Third World level outside the gigantic Specialty Clinics only the rich can afford.

On the flip side, what is the appeal of living in NYC when all art, entertainment, movies, bars, restaurants, museums, and even outdoor gatherings are closed?
It’s like living with Oscar the Grouch otherwise.
