Fake news

Remember, ain’t no such thing, Trump is just making that stuff up.

A Seattle news station has placed a video editor on leave after viewers complained that the station aired doctored footage of President Trump’s Tuesday night Oval Office speech that distorted Trump’s face and made him appear bright orange.

Seattle’s conservative talk radio station 770KTTH performed a side-by-side comparison of the video in question with video of Trump’s speech that aired on CNN. A viewer had recorded the Q13 broadcast and sent it to 770KTTH:

That comparison reveals the Q13 video creating a loop of the President licking his lips — making it seem bizarre and unbalanced — it also seems that someone distorted the President’s face and my have added an orange tone to his skin.

In a statement, Q13 seemed to confirm that their video editor had intentionally altered the footage to make the president look crazy.

“We are investigating this to determine what happened,” said Q13’s news director. “This does not meet our editorial standards and we regret if it is seen as portraying the President in a negative light. The editor responsible for editing the footage is being placed on leave while we investigate further.”

I heard Limbauigh earlier today going on again about how “desperate” they are, etc. But I dunno; seems to me they’re becoming more brazen and blatant with their deceitful skullduggery, which indicates not fear and desperation but confidence and emboldenment. Ultimately, though, here’s the bigger, deeper problem:

If the editor is eventually fired, it is likely the individual will bounce back at another MSM outlet, chastened and wiser, and in the future be more subtle with his/her video edits.

In the meantime, one has to suspect there are many more unscrupulous ideologues just like the Q13 editor embedded in news rooms all across the nation, slaying conservative dragons with their clever manipulations.

Bingo. Firing is no longer enough; our side needs to take a page from Proggy’s playbook and see to it that “people” like this can never work in their chosen field or, for that matter, know a single moment’s peace at their homes ever again. They need to be not just punished once for getting caught in a specific incident, but hounded, horribly, for the rest of their miserable lives. Then and only then will they know we’re truly serious about being all done putting up with fascist bullshit from them. Don’t know how normal people with jobs and families and mortgages to pay and such are going to find a way to make time to do that, but it surely needs doing.

  1. “…one has to suspect there are many more unscrupulous ideologues just like the Q13 editor embedded in news rooms all across the nation….” Suspect? We KNOW it. Exhibit A is the 911 call Zimmerman made vis-a-vis Trayvon Martin. NBC has been caught red handed multiple times.

Anyone who assumes what the ‘news’ tells them is anything close to the truth is dumber than a box of rocks.

Maybe Trump has a slander or defamation suit here?
