From the credit where due department: our esteemed colleague Aesop hits the comments to hip me to the facts behind that great Illustrated Guide To Gun Control illustration I posted the other day.
It doesn’t matter where you first saw it; it was first penned by LawDog on his blog
and stolen endlessly by damn near everyone on the Internet ever since he first wrote it in 2010.
He’s actually tired of people writing him and telling him about a great analogy he should read, written by somebody else, or by themselves.
The original cartoon above, in very readable size, is here:
And in full-sized version, LawDog is credited as the author of the text, and the original artist for the cartoon version.
Glad you did, my friend, and my thanks for taking the time and trouble. Added benefit from the veil of ignorance having been at long last lifted from my eyes: LawDog hurtles with great alacrity into Ye Olde Blogrolle (which is itself badly overdue for a good link-rot combing), where he should’ve been a long time ago. You guys will be seeing more of LawDog’s stuff popping up around this websty from here on out, no doubt about that.
