Disproving the idea of Papal infallibility with every ignorant word.
QUESTION: Today you spoke a lot and eloquently about the problem of immigrants. On the other side of the border there is an electoral campaign that is rather hard. One of the candidates for the White House, Donald Trump, in a recent interview said that you are a political man, and indeed perhaps a pawn of the Mexican Government when it comes to the policy of immigration. He said that if he were elected president he would build a 2,500-km wall along the border. He wants to deport 11 million illegal immigrants and, in that way separating families and so on. I would therefore like to ask, first of all, what you think of those charges against you, and if an American Catholic could vote for a person like this?
ANSWER: Thank God he said I am a politician because Aristotle defined the human person as an ‘animal politicus’ [a political animal]. So at least I am a human person. As to whether I am a pawn, well, maybe, I don’t know. I’ll leave that up to your judgement and that of the people. And then, a person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the gospel. As far as what you said about whether I would advise to vote or not to vote, I am not going to get involved in that. I say only that this man is not Christian if he says things like that.
This is what this Left-wing, child-molester-coddling, communist douchebag lives behind:
As for immigration policy, well…uhhh….ummm…
The Vatican, for its part, welcomes millions of visitors a year — but allows only a very select few, who meet strict criteria, to be admitted as residents or citizens.
Only about 450 of its 800 or so residents actually hold citizenship, according to a 2012 study by the Library of Congress. That study said citizens are either church cardinals who reside in the Vatican, the Holy See’s diplomats around the world, and those who have to reside in the city because of their jobs, such as the Swiss Guard.
Spouses and children who live in the city because of their relationship with citizens — including the Swiss Guard and workers such as the gardener — have also been granted citizenship. But that means few of the Vatican’s citizens are women.
The strict policy has left the Vatican open to criticism in the past, including from right-wing political leaders in Italy who want tighter immigration controls in their country and have rebuffed the papacy’s calls for leniency by asking how many refugees live in the enclave.
Pope Francis, however, has taken some steps to mitigate those attacks, matching his call earlier this month for churches to host Syrian refugees with a vow that the Vatican itself would take in a couple of refugee families.
Last week the Vatican government announced it had accepted a mother, father and two children who are Melkite Greek Catholics, and who have asked for asylum in Italy.
“A couple of refugee families”? Gee, Your Unholiness, what could anyone ever do to repay such astounding magnanimity? But hey, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, right? Which means Francis needs to stop reaching for rocks, the two-faced, duplicitous, mewling jackass. Hypocrisy, thy name is Francis.
I think maybe it’s about time to start considering taxing the hell out of the Catholic church and all its properties. If Francis wants to trespass all over his mandate as the so-called Vicar of Christ and meddle in our elections, let him pay his way doing it. Rush spells it out:
Now, Trump is out there saying that what the pope said is a disgrace. He didn’t specifically call the pope a liar and he didn’t threaten to sue the pope, so maybe he’s moderating. You know, if Ted Cruz had told him he wasn’t a Christian, he’d threaten to sue him and so forth, and… (interruption) No, I’m just teasing. He brought up a good point. Trump brought up a good point. He said, “When has the pope ever questioned the faith of another private citizen?” And, folks… By the way, folks, don’t anybody… Don’t anybody…
I’m just warning you here: Don’t anybody ask about the president’s religion! Don’t even get close to going there. Don’t do it. That is a forbidden area. You cannot even ask about it. The pope can go ahead and claim that Trump is not a Christian, but you can’t go there when we talking about the president of the United States. Trump wants to know, has the pope ever questioned Obama’s faith? Has the pope ever questioned any other private citizen’s faith?
Has he questioned the faith of the Castro brothers? Has the pope questioned the faith of any communist leaders? He spends a lot of time in communist countries. A lot of potential recruits there. I mean to the flock. I’m not… (interruption) No, no. It’s true. The Catholic Church spends a lot of time in very poor countries trying to recruit and spread the Gospel. Let me put it that way: The pope is simply saying…?
Has he ever said that Mao Tse-tung, that Fidel Castro, that Raul Castro, any other communist is not a Christian? Why Donald Trump? ‘Cause Trump wants to build a wall? Have you seen the Vatican wall? I got a picture here I could show you on the Dittocam if I had the time and where it is. It’s over 50-feet high. It’s over 50-feet high.
What in the world is the Vicar of Christ doing getting down to this level?
This Pope is a damnable scoundrel, an affront to truly devout, humble, and sincere Christians everywhere. And ain’t it just amusing as hell to see the very people who, in any other context, can’t attack Christianity viciously or frequently enough now lining up to support the indefensible swine against the Trumpian Antichrist? Somebody ought to ask the addle-pated douchebag how well Catholicism did in the old Soviet Union. But if he has his way, he’ll find out soon enough….just as all the useful idiots always do in the end.
Update! One of my first thoughts on hearing about this was to mentally snicker over how in the world poor old Kathryn Lopez, always so desperate to portray the capitalism-hating, socialism-sympathizing Progressivist Pope as actually a closet conservative, would deal with the story. And now we know: hey, it never happened, and it’s all Trump’s fault that it did, you guys!
