Cracks in the facade

Looks like the Lefty Boy Wonder — he of the perfect temperament and too-cool, easygoing disposition, according to his Old-Media buttlicks — is beginning to feel the strain:

When Obama appealed for bipartisanship on legislation in the six months remaining before Election Day, freshman Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., confronted him, the senator later told reporters.

“I told him I thought there was a degree of audacity in him even showing up today after what happened with financial regulation,” Corker said after the meeting. “I asked him how he was able to reconcile that duplicity, coming in today to see us.”

Four people who were in the room said Obama bristled and defended his administration’s handling of negotiations. Republicans have long complained that Democrats are using heavy-handed tactics to push though Obama’s agenda.

On the way out, Obama approached Corker, according to the senator, who had been sitting just to the president’s right, to press his case. Corker repeated his.

“I mentioned that there was a very large disconnect between what he was saying and his actions,” Corker told reporters.

No compromise with the Alinskyite son of a bitch. He called the tune here, with his radical agenda and his flat refusal to consider any options on issue after issue except the ones that expand the power of FederalGovCo and restrict individual liberty, which is the exact opposite of the way things ought to be ordered — in the USA, anyway. So let him dance to it now that people are waking up to what he really is, and his poll numbers are cratering so badly even the liberal media can’t manage to massage ’em enough to cover him. Keep pressing him until he breaks down completely. Then impeach his ass for mental incompetence, and throw him on the scrap heap of history’s discarded liars.

In a statement after the meeting with Republicans, the White House said the president would continue to work toward bipartisanship.

That’d be a first.

Corker told reporters, “I just wanted him to tell me how when he wakes up in the morning, comes over to luncheon like ours today, how does he reconcile that duplicity?”

How has he ever, every single day of his worthless life? Duplicity could be his middle name.

After eight years of seeing Bush slandered by every last screaming Leftist in the nation for anything and everything, true or false — and with the full collusion and force of the liberal press, too — it’s hilarious to see Barky crumbling after only a year and a half. What a punk. If you can’t stand the heat, better get out of the kitchen, son.

  1. This sort of thing reinforces what kind of iron self-control George W. Bush had. You never heard him complain or lose his temper. He never let them see him sweat.

And it drove them abso-farkin’-lutely barkin’ mad.
