London Calling

The Adventures of Mayor Maynot:

Miss Armstrong was pushed against a car by the girls, one of whom had an iron bar. The victim called out for help to a passing cyclist, who turned out to be the Mayor.

He stopped and chased the girls down the street, calling them “oiks” [“louts”], according to Miss Armstrong, who praised the Mayor’s intervention.

Mayor Johnson was later arrested at his home for “vigilantism” and “insulting a protected class” (the “Loutish-Britannic Community”).

I completely fabricated that last sentence.

But you weren’t sure, were you?

  1. Actually, until I read “Loutish-Britannic Community” I had assumed that his arrest was real. This IS Britain we’re talking about.
